Y Weight Loss Program

YMCA Coaching for a Healthier LIfe

Weight loss can be difficult to achieve, but we are here to help. With the Y Weight Loss Program, we will help you every step of the way from food journals to weekly exercise reviews.

Program Info

Program Includes:

  • Resting metabolic testing
  • Fitness testing
  • Weekly tracking of body composition & measurements
  • Food journals provided and reviewed for dietary assistance
  • Weekly exercise reviews to update progress
  • A meeting with a Registered Dietician

A Healthier You

  • Program is 8 weeks of supported lifestyle changes aimed at reducing weight and improving the quality of health and life
  • Individualized meetings with a health coach and exercise physiologist
  • 16 activity classes held by an exercise physiologist in a private training studio
  • Exercise prescription designed for individual needs

Cost: $100 for Members | $200 for non members (includes 8 weeks unrestricted membership to the YMCA May Building)

PEIA WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Must be 18 or older.

At the Y, we have the facilities, equipment, programs, and staff to support you. Make new friends, increase your self-confidence, and improve your spiritual, mental, and physical health.

  • One on one private training session once a month
  • Individualized meetings with a registered dietician and exercise physiologist
  • Two workout classes weekly – Monday & Wednesday 4:00pm – 5:30pm
  • Per PEIA Agreement – must complete 10 visits a month
  • Exercise prescription designed for individual needs
  • PEIA insurance accepted upon PEIA approval $30.00 monthly co-pay

Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program provides a supportive environment to learn how to adopt healthy habits and reduce your chances of developing the disease.

  • Classes led by trained lifestyle coaches certified by the CDC
  • 1 year program with 26 meetings/classes
  • Individual services from a registered dietitian and exercise professionals
  • Baseline assessments with monthly follow ups
  • Personal Training
  • Cooking Classes
  • Classes are only available for those AT RISK for type 2 diabetes, those already diagnosed with Type 2 are not eligible
