Certification Classes

The Huntington Y offers the following courses to Y and non-Y members:

Lifeguard Certification Courses

Session 1: April 7th-10th

Session 2: May 5th-8th

Sessions 1 and 2 are held every evening

Monday– Thursday 4pm to 9pm.

Session 3: April 25th-27th

Session 4: May 16th-18th

Sessions 3 and 4 are held Friday 4pm to 9pm,

Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm.

Member Rate $200 Non Member Rate $225

Lifeguard Recertification Course

Saturday, April 19th 9am-6pm

Member Rate: $100   Non Member Rate $125

These are Red Cross Certification courses. Must be 15 years of age to start class. Each participant will be expected to pass a prerequisite swim test on day one and all rescue techniques by the end of the course. All classes must be attended, no exceptions. Classes are blended, online portion must be completed before taking the in person training.

United Way

United Way of the River Cities is a non-profit organization that seeks to better the human condition in our community. Cabell-Wayne Association of the Blind

CWAB will be seen nationally as a model for organizations and agencies that help blind and visually impaired persons achieve maximum independence. CWAB will be known for timely and appropriate state-of-the-art responses to the changing needs of consumers throughout the Tri-State area and beyond.
